EAT MY SHORTLIST
The judges announce the shortlist for the entries to NCC’s Eat My Shorts Film Competition.
Over lockdown, NCC launched for the first time a short film competition. The challenge was to create a 2-minute U/G certificate film, any genre, any topic. What better way to make the most of being stuck at home.
All seven shortlisted films will be screened on the big screen at a special celebration of short film NCC’s Full Moon Film Festival in the new year…. when cinemas open again.

NCC is delighted to be sponsored by Fibrus for both the Eat My Shorts Film Competition and the Full Moon Film Festival in November.
This is what Joe Diver, Fibrus Marketing Manager, said: “We are proud to be both associated and sponsoring the Full Moon Film Festival in Newcastle. Film has been a part of all our lives, with lots of memories made at the cinema, or going back to the drive-in days, and while how we view those films has changed over the years, the enjoyment we all get from them remains the same.
Our recent investment of £100m has brought Hyperfast Full Fibre Broadband to Newcastle and other rural towns across Northern Ireland and will enable homes to stream HD or 4K TV and watch live events without buffering.
This means everyone can continue to watch their favourite films, either at fantastic events like the annual Film Festival or at home without the frustration of slow speeds when downloading their favourite movie. On a personal level, I am really looking forward to seeing the entries for the ‘Eat My Shorts’ Competition, and how creative the people of Ireland are, as well, of course, as finding out the line-up for the festival itself.”
